I’m feeling nostalgic so I’m posting photos from 6 months ago
Being in the U.S. also means that I have high-speed internet so I’m not as choosy about the photos I post. There are a lot.

Tonight we had a belated Thanksgiving potluck at Hannah’s in Nord Foire. Hannah is a former SIT student who is dating Carter’s host brother, Thiery. Us CIEE students kind of took over her apartment but it was a really good time. Very, very good food (especially the salad). And just good friends around. We even went around and said what we were thankful for and however cheesy it was, it was really nice and good to hear, good to say.
Something funny was that tonight I met Lizzie, a girl who started following this tumblr a month or two back. When she told me who she was, I got really excited and hugged her. In hindsight, that was really weird of me. But I had also been reading her blog every now and then. And even though she’s been here longer than I have and we’re both here under different circumstances, it’s always interesting to meet someone who’s also going through an adjustment in a different place, a different culture. It surprised me that we’d find ourselves at the same Thanksgiving party (although the chances were pretty good that we’d run into each other).
So hi, Lizzie! Along with everything else, I’m thankful for being reminded of how small of a world it is.
I don’t know how many people are RSS-feeding this blog but I thought you should know that Tumblr has a cool slideshow way of displaying photosets. It’s much more aesthetically appealing on my page than in Google Reader.
Letting you know in case you wanted a better blog-reading experience.
Internet is faster at school but my laptop is heavy. I mostly bring it to catch up on television.
I am incredibly awkward at life.
Ibrahima (age 5), my host brother, is adorable. I guessed it.
Good news: I have wireless access to the internet from certain parts of my room.
Bad news: I still haven’t bought a plug adapter and I’m awk.
