Jessica fake-passed out on the table after dinner and terrible terrible whiskey/wine. Sometime during a game of Apples to Apples.

Daba and Fred were these two adorable children who live with the couple that takes care of the house. I’m not sure if they’re siblings but I do know that Daba is the woman’s daughter and Fred is the man’s son.

These kids were hilarious. And ridiculous.

10.08.09 - 10.11.09

After spending the first half of the week traveling and getting dirty, we spent our last 3.5 days in a beautiful beach house along the shore in Mbour.

Malang showed me the website for this house a few weeks before fall break. The house belongs to Papis’s older sister who lives in France. They rent out rooms to tourists and businesspeople. We met a French man who stays there often. He’s working on a solar energy project in West Africa. He and his partners plan to use Senegal as a test spot for solar power.

Papis and Malang came down to spend the last half of our vacation with us. They were going to show us around the town but I mostly spent time lazing around not doing anything. It was an excellent way to end the vacation.

I don’t know how many people are RSS-feeding this blog but I thought you should know that Tumblr has a cool slideshow way of displaying photosets. It’s much more aesthetically appealing on my page than in Google Reader.

Letting you know in case you wanted a better blog-reading experience.
